Default Now who would throw a new Mathews into a pond?

A couple weeks ago the local archery shop was relieved of a Mathews DXT and it was fully loaded with new sight, rest, stabilizer, quiver, arrows and broadheads. Owners bow. Don't have all the details, not sure if someone walked out with it when the owner was busy or if the shop was broken into. Anyway, a couple of days ago the local police using scuba gear found parts of the bow in a pond the local sewer plant property.......it made front page news along with a photo of the riser, after recieving a tip. You have to realize we have a smalltown paper.

Why would anyone go to the trouble of stealing a brand new fully loaded Mathews and then throw it in a pond?

And more seriously, why or who would jump into a cess pool to retrieve it???

A few years ago, a friend of mine worked at Richards Sporting Goods. He worked in recieving. So, things touched his hands first !!

He took some Mossberg 12guage. They used to throw things in garbage bags, throw them in the dumpster and then after work, they would go pull the bags from the dumpster.
So......your "friend" is a theif.....just the kind of friend I would want.....scum of the earth if you ask me.

Scuba gear to find a BOW ???

Man, this must have been a depleted uranium, sattelite controled, government bow ?

He got nervous and threw the shotgun in a small pond. Good thing he did, because he got in an arguement with his step-father and pulled his .410 out. Cops came, checked the shotgun, looked for other guns. Everyone made up, no charges were filed.

If that shotgun was there, they would have found in and after running the numbers, he would have gone to jail.

WTF??????????? Don't believe I would a told that story! Not good.....

Yeah not the kind of guy I would want to call a friend. Gets mad and points a gun at someone AND steals. Winner winner chicken dinner

My bad. It was found in a pond south of the sewer plant. Just reread the newspaper. Check for my edit above.

I'll try to post a picture of the divers and what was found of the bow if I can scan it.
