Default I'm not as dedicated

as I used to be I reckon. Let me start out by saying my wife is adamant that I not use our family rig to go hunting. But we had snow and now its a light rain/ice mix and the Explorer is a 4x4 while my old Jeep Comanche is not. So what did I do this morning? I loaded up the Explorer with my gear and headed out(snuck out). About halfway to my hunting area I turned around and headed to the closer state public land. I met two guys who had driven since 3am to get there. After small talk they went one way and I another with my stand/sticks on my back. After only an hour I headed back home. Hunting public land I haven't been on for years and with visions of my wife's probable anger when I returned prompted me to return early. Damn conscience!

By the way, so far so good. She is still asleep and none the wiser.

She knows, but said little except one thing, "if and when you go out this afternoon you are not taking the Explorer"! Guess I'll pack along the snow shovel in case I need it!

What's this thing you speak of? This....conscience? What is this thing and what does it have to do with leaving your wife home while you go hunting?

I think you should buy some pants and wear them. Tell her she doesn't need the explorer because there is no road between the bedroom and the kitchen .

Is it better to not have the Explorer dirty and you possibly stranded or in an accident!!??

What is she thinking?[:-]
