I just shoot my recurve for fun and bowfishing as of right now. I got to say, the traditional bows fell great in your hand. I will be practicing and planning to try and take a deer with mine next year.

trad bows are addictive. Not only are they great to shoot, but they are also a work of art. Ive just started making them and it is another aspect to hunting that is addictive.

I know when I want to get back to the pure joy of archery, I pick up my recurve and shoot it.

And by recurve you mean a large tree you ripped out of the ground and tied a large chain too?

I bought my first recurve about 8 years ago. Shooting mine became extremely adictive in trying to perfectthe shot. Not for everyone, but until you have shot one its hard to describle how cool the are.

My first bow real bow was a Fred Bear Recurve, man I could hit bulls eye with at 25 yds when I 12 years old, but now, I probably couldn't hit my house with one!! Respect for all trad. hunters!!!

I see me taking a deer with my longbow every season from now on out.

The first time I saw an arrow fly true with my longbow......I knew I'd never be satisfied as a bowhunter until I took a deer with it.
