yeah, sorry for no story...... The first time i saw this buck was last year and i missed him!! I hadn't seen him all year this year, but sunday it was one of those magical nights when everything came together perfectly. to start it off, i was down on my luck. The weather down here is breaking records. It was 80 degrees every afternoon and I'd been hunting hard for four days and only seen one small four point. well, low and behold here he comes trottin across a pasture at 5:50pm like he owned the place.I thought for sure he wouldn't come close enough for a shot, but he turned and came right to me.the rest is history. so now i have a huge grin planted on my face that may be permanent, I'm not sure yet.I appreciate all the good words guys, it makes it that much better.
P.S. I'm not sure what the hole in the horn is from, but he has it on both sides, someone explained it to me as something that gets at the deer while in velvet.
