Quick question about camo. My son and I were bow shopping over the weekend and one bow we looked at (and I am not going to name brands), the camo was literally peeling off the riser. The guy at the shop said the only thing he could figure was that the riser was not cleaned properly before dipping or something went wrong during the process. Is this something that is common?

Common? No. But not unusual. It does happen from time to time, and I would guess he is right. Things have to be done quite to the T for the dipping process to work properly.

Thanks. I have done a lot of car body work and I know how essential the prep is, so I am sure it applies here as well. It is just one more thing to look for as I search for a new bow.

No, this was a new, "for sale" bow on the rack. He set it aside to send back and grabbed another (which we looked over really well). No problems with the second one (same model).
