Talk about frustrating.[:@]
My buddy and I were hunting this area of county land. I heard one of his arrows hitting branches. Then I saw his deer coming my way (a small doe). I stood up and she stopped and looked my direction, but then kept coming. She stopped behind a tree and I came to full draw. When she started moving again, she was headed directly toward me. If she had crossed to my Left, I had big shooting lanes to take her in. So of course she came in toward my Right side (i shoot RHD). I called trying to get her to stop, but as I turned to my Right, my arm hit either the tree of my harnass and my release misfired. [:'(]
I didn't hear my arrow hit, but the doe didn't act or appear hit and when she stopped about 10 yds behind me, she didn't look or act hit.
Later, my buddy came over and told me he had shot just under her. Then we found my arrow. I had shot just over top of her, missing her cleanly at 5YDS[:'(][:'(][:'(]
This was my first miss ever on a deer with a bow. How lucky can one deer get?
It is ok though. I would much prefer a clean miss vs a bad hit.

don't feel bad i missed on at 3 yards this year. I was standing on top of a ledge and he was 10 feet down and 3 yards out i put my arrow right over his back by 2 feet.
Wow! I missed a big 10 the same way this season. He was 12yds perfect broadside shot and as Im drawing back, finger on the release trigger which is something i never do, my elbow hits the tree, finger pulls release and arrow flies right over his back. He looks at me, nods his head, grunts and trots off.
