Guys, this has been a long time coming ... I've been bowhunting off and on for many years, but with no success. Last summer I decided I didn't care if I killed a monster with my gun, the season wasn't going to a success unless I took a deer with my bow. I bought a new bow and practiced religiously and on Oct. 1 shot a buck but never recovered him. I was sick but I practiced even more.I got on the computer at work and through my internet searches on shot placement and recovery came across this forum. I immediately joined and it has helped immensely.
I never had another shot opportunity until Friday evening when I shot and recovered a young doe. I was more excited about that small deer than I've been about any buck I've ever shot with a gun, I mean absolutely estatic when my buddies flashlightsshined on her laying in front of us, 75 yds from where I'd shot her.All the effort was definately worth it and I can't describe how satisfying it feels to getthat monkey off my back and I just had to share it with you guys.

When you fight fire with fire, all you do is burn your fingers too
since it is your first bow kill.....i think we can let the whole no pic thing slide this once.....but if it happens again we will need your card. Your still a man and you can keep your card, but next time you will have to turn it in and start wearing a dress.
