Default Anyone??

Anyone bowhunt out of one of those tripod stands that you can buy at Cabelas? I was thinking about gettiing one for next year, becouse I have a perfect spot for one, but I dont know if it woould be very easy to bowhunt out of. Tell me what you have, where you got it, and how you like it.

Default RE: Anyone??

I haven't hunted from one, but I did climb into one. I can think of a lot of places they'd be great. The problem with most is they're VERY heavy and not too mobile. I'd think they'd work great in an apple orchard, standing corn, brush lots, fairly new reforestration, grown up logged areasetc where you could put them up through a low tree and become the top of the tree etc. I just don't want to spend the bucks for one that would get limited use where I hunt. I do have a wild apple orchard that could really use one as there just isn't a straight enough verticle trunk anywhere in the place.
