Default Central IL 2nd rut FYI.

I went hunting yesterday and seen 14 deer total with a 4pt following a mature doe and yearling, then about an hour later seen 3 bucks following a yearling, and upon leaving my stand, once I hit the edge of the corn field, with the fresh snow, I could make out a buck watching a yearling eat. None of these buckswere chasing but just walking in their foot steps. to bad I had to go to work the next 4 days.

Thanks for the update! I am here in cental Illinois. I have been out 3-4 times the last couple weeks. Where I have always seen deer about every time out, as of lately nothing at all. Did see some tracks in the snow along the field edge. I did chase off a buck after first gun season with a renzo doedecoy @ 3:15pm. Have seen does grouped up as I ride around in the evenings out in the country! If any other activities pick up let us know, I'll do the same! I went out this afternoon from 2:30 to 5:00...nothing moving! Not sure exactly where they are bedding but no access to it anyway!

If you can stand the rain/freezing rain the next few days, they should be good. I love hunting the rain. Deer are everywhere!

Tuesday I saw 8, Wednesday 7, and Friday afternoon 16. Today was supposed to be my hunting day.....and its raining hard. I can't get back to my hunting area without slogging through mud for a 1/2 mile[]. Man, I wish we had snow instead.
