I think my son (10) will like whats under the tree this year! This will be his first "real bow". He has a couple smaller ones, you know, thelittle plastic arrow rest...had to start him somewhere..Ha!

After some posting and pm's to Greg/Mo and Matt/Pa, thanks guys. I decided to go with the Diamond edge package, 30-40lbs limbs. Of course I wasn't going to wait till Christmas to look at it Looks great! May just put a wisker biscuit on it, instead of prong rest.

I will be set at 30lbs to start and around 22-24 inch draw rest. Any ideas on a good (inexpensive) arrow that will work fine for him?

I think he will love it....I do

Any suggestions on "arrow" would be appreciated...Thanks!

Beman ICS Hunter Jr's are EXCELLENT arrows for youngsters......and, they're only about 18 bucks/half dozen.

my 6.5yr old is getting the exact same package... setting it 21" and 30lb... he's fully kitted with a plano plastic case, patriot jr release, a block target, and half a doz arrows w/ 100g tips... most youth arrows can be had for like 25 bucks per half doz (house brands), gold tip lightnings are like 27 at cabelas, CE's were like 35ish, iirc...
