You old school guys will appreciate this... and for all the newbs to archery... This was THE bow to have back in the early 1990's. The High Country Supreme is back for 2008.
Looks like HCA is trying reconnect with all those old customers from way back when.
Looks like a pretty darn nice bow, similar to my Iron Mace, with more brace height and stretched out to 37+" Probably a little softer cams, too.
I probably wouldn't want one for hunting, b/c I think my bow is too long and cumbersome at 34" already. For a bigger guy or a target shooter, it's probably more what you're looking for.
I shot for HCA for 7 years, through 2000. At the time, the machined supreme riser was the best around. I still have 4 of their bows all based on this riser.
BTW, I prefer the 41" bow I've been using. 30" draw.

Great shooting bows for sure. Tons of them still floating around - especially right here around home. Everybody around here shot High Country back in the day. They all switched over to Mathews once HCA went down the toilet.
Those original Supremes weighed a TON. That machined riser sure was an upgrade. You needed a crane just to get the original Supreme into your treestand.

That's what I'm still shooting! I do have a single cam bow, very quiet and vibration free, but I can't bring myself to use it as my main hunting bow. It is just a back - up.

LOL Just kiddin buddy. Seriously - we set up an old machined supreme this summer on a 28" draw - and it shot like a demon. Had a hell of a time getting the right parts for it - but he killed at least 2 doe with it this fall.
Not sure about the surpreme, but I still shoot my 2000 HC carbon 4 runner. Hasn't felled me yet!
May upgrade sometime for alittle more speed, but been a great bow!

Man, you aren't kidding about HCA being the bows back in the day. I had a High Country Excalibur that I hunted with and shot 3d with. I did pretty well in hunter class with it. It had an overdraw (remember those), hatchet cams, a Toxonics sight that I added some of the first fiber optic pins available to, and this mammoth powder filled stabilizer. I loved that bow and it shot great. Good memories.
I remember the High Country old school. My first was a Top Gun wheel bow for 3-D, a Sniper for hunting, and then I upgraded to the Safari (bought three of them) My shoulder and elbow cuss me for all that shooting with IBO legal 90# bows. I loved the Safari's but two of them came unglued on me. (pre-stressing limbs on a 70# bow to make it a 90# bow and to get to 300fps was a stupid idea)
I am not one to change bows every year or every five years for that matter now, but I have a small interest in the Iron Mace. I may check it out in the offseason this year. 37 ata is to long for me in the stand so that would rule out a supreme for me. I have a 31 ata and love how easy it is to manuever in the stand.
