Default Hog hunts in SC???

I was talking to Rob/PA a while back about wanting to take my son on a bowhunt for Hogs. I live pretty close to SC....and they have some places, there, that you can go on one of these hunts "relatively" inexpensively.

I was wondering if anyone had ever done this in SC? How much was it? What's included?

I've never been on one, but I know a few places in PA and NY that have them and your generally looking at around $500. There is a place really close to Rob's place and my camp called Stony Fork that is pretty well known that does them for the $500 last I heard.

Why not travel just a bit more south and hunt in Georgia. Just buy a 3 day license and kill as many as you want. No limit on hogs in Georgia. Season is open all year 'round as well. If you knew someone that lived in Ga. maybe they know a farmer that wants the hogs off his land. Most of the hunting clubs that I know of in Ga. absolutely hate the hogs because they root up all of their food plots that the guys plant for the deer. Just a thought.

I appreciate that, Greg.....and it's worth pondering. We'll share a camp one day. If you weren't such a haul I'd plan it, now. Already, I'm heading out West in '08 and '09. My wife would skin ME if I planned another trip. If by chance I can't draw a KS tag, though......one never knows.

Thanks, again.

That was going to be my suggestion Jeff, pick me up and we will head to TX - cheaper hog hunts and more of them plus the added bonus of javelinas - something bout those little pigs interests me - we can split the cost of gas and driving time -- hmmmmmmmm ROAD TRIP

I have also looked at some of the SCoperations but haven't found one that I really liked - something else to ponder is a place in Nrthn Fla called southern arrowhead oufitters - for the same $500 your are talking bout believe you can hunt whitetails and hogs for 5 days up till some time in FEb

There's a place not too far from where I'm originally from in Georgia called Alapaha. It's where Hogzilla was taken and they have hunting there as well. Not sure if they're guided or not. They're not "pets" like some places have. They're wild and they'll hurt you if you happen to be the slowest one in the group!
