Just curious if anyone has been experiencing some 2nd rut action. I personally have never witnessed any rutting action this late in the year but thought maybe some of you guys have. I hunt NW Missouri so its been almost a month since the last rutting activity was pretty heavy and I plan to be in my stand this Saturday. Good luck Guys.
I was out yesterday and saw 16 deer all yarded up just before dark. Most being bucks. That's here in the north and they did not appear to be interested in anything but going to eat.
Saw a big 9 on sat afternoon with a doe and 2 fawns. I think these bigger bucks will stay with does for as long as she gives them attention. Not all does come into estrus in late oct early nov.Ive seen fawns with spots in late dec meaning they were conseved alot later in the year.
