We did last year on some state land we were hunting!! A plastic 12 footer with a trolling motor!! Worked great! Walt

We did it in Canada a little bit. Can definitely get to spots where others can't. Added a level of difficulty with clothing though as the ride was so damn cold, but the actual temp wasn't terrible. So, Michelin man in the boat, then strip down at the shore.

Just be careful if you are by yourself. Especially in a canoe. We had a guy a week or so ago, disappear. They found his canoe and some gear but not him.

I have a 10ft John boat
50 Thrust Eletric trolling motor.

John Eberhart took a nice buck this year, he used a boat also

We did some hunting this year via canoe...Went up into some sloughs off the river and hunted a pretty much water locked island in the ben dof the river. Saw tons of sign and some deer, but ended up almost seeing for hunters than anything. I guessout idea to be different wasn't that different afterall.
