I wouldn't call that "stealing" stands. At least your leaving a number to call so they can recover their stands and explain themselves. Do these other guys have permission and just not insurance?

thats the first I have ever heard of hunters insurance. Is this a policy under his landowners policy?

what kind of stands are they? if they haven't been claimed, then you should be able sell them.

So - don't landowners prosecute trespassers in The Garden State? Or do the courts not take it seriously?

My buddy has around 500+ acres in what I believe is the best hunting county here in VA...years ago he had poachers literally camped out on the top of the mountain he owns..poaching and killing at high rates....his dad, him, and the game warden all went up there with guns loaded...the warden eventually arrested the guys and they were prosecuted....it takes a low man to trespass on anothers property without regard to anyone but himself.

hey got any two man stands i need a few i do not blame you I'm plan to buy some land within by 09 if i find one i will take it down leave a number if they call i will make them sign a paper saying they were trespassing and will not do it again but after 14 days there mine
also what would you do if you fond someone in a stand on your property i would properly just go call the cos i would be worried if i approach them they might play terminator hey they got the high ground
