I tore both my ACL's and meniscus playing college football. Get your knee taken care of if it requires surgery or you may be in a tremendous amount of pain as you age. Your knee WILL NOT get worse after surgery unless the surgeon is drunk. Think about this Tim, you weigh 375 pounds, do you think you will stay in shape as you age if your knee hurts alot? NO. Give yourself a chance and get the surgery done if it is required.

Knee surgery has come a long way. They will probably do it with a scope or what ever you call it. Get well big guy.

scope is nothing tim....in and out. Will have some pain depending on the type of injury you have--then the pain will subside and you will feel better than ever

If you have cartilage damage like it sounds like...For me I wouldn't wait. The cartilage can keep tearing and get worse...cartilage doesn't grow back after it is torn, unlike ligaments which can knit back to a certain degree...let me know Tim...I had too many knee injuries and know alot about them.

I tore my ACL three times in the right knee and twice on the left knee. With the amount of technology they have today for knee surgeries is unreal.I used to race motocross & supercross professionally and man did they have me back on the bikes in no time. Be sure to get it fixed and do EXACTLY what they tell you too!The way I see it, I have a very lilimited amount of time to be in the woods till I can no longer, physically do it anymore. Inow make sure that I'm in great shape to make the trip each and every year. Good luck, you have any questions about it, feel free to PM me. I'll be more than happy to help in anyway I can.
