Last weekend marked the end of the regular gun season here in WI. I hunted because in most deer management units, the bow is outlawed momentarily when the guns come out. Anyway, I was up in the tree with the 12 gauge and something was just really amiss. I did an all day sit and it was the absolute longest day hunting ever. I've done many dawn til dusk hunts and none were like this at all. See, when I'm bowhuntingif I get bored, all I gotta do is admire the Vectrix. But when you're in the tree with a long cold barrel, it makes for one lonely day. I'm now considering not even buying the gun license next year. Who's been or going there?

RE: Just aint the same without the bow
I like to bring a book with me. That is bow hunting. My bows are old, so I dont admire them much anymore. Love them, just dont eye fornicate them much anymore.

Nope. This is the view I enjoy seeingfrom my stand during shotgun season. To each his own I guess.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm with Atlas on this one. I love bowhunting and it is my primary passion, but I am a hunter first. It doesn't matter what I'm toting into the woods as long as I'm out there hunting I'm happy.
