how many of you keep a journal for each hunt???

I have started to carry a journal with me to the woods and record pertinent information for each hunt. Seeing how i am in the preliminary stages, i certainly can't project any success of yet, but have any of you experienced successes due to your journals over the years??

Yes.. I have experienced success due to my journal. And will continue to keep my several journals close by.

cool, i am currently filling mine with this years experiences that i forgot, but i need to start taking it on stand with me that way i can record exactly how many of them crazy a$$ squirrels i see/hr.!!

I don;t know why you need to take it with you....but I do keep a journal for every sit. This is my second year doing so.

This is the first year for me actually recording it. I am keeping it on my puter, as long as I remember to update. Gotta make a habit of it, I keep forgeting to update after each hunt.

YEp, just started keeping one this year. I fill in the temp, wind direction and speed.What time I get in my stand, and out of it. How many deer I see, if it is a buck or a doe. Where I see it, and where it is headed, and what time I see the deer. I also keep track of what time of the year the crop fields get picked.....

good info fellas.....i also like to record the date that wal-mart puts out the red tags on all the hunting gear each year!!! coming up soon!
