I'm just not good enough to still hunt and am going tohave to stick with a stand or a blind. I really don't know many hunters that can getsneak into bow range.
Most of the guys I know who still hunt don't come home with anything except stories of running deer.

If i had the skill and patience i would try still hunting, i just feel at this point my chances are far better in a stand.

Where I hunt, you have a snowball's chance in hell, of sneaking up on a whitetailfor a bow shot.Stand hunting rules.

I stand hunt with a bow but still hunt with a gun. Since this is the bow hunting forum I stand hunt.

I said stand hunt in Minnesotabecause its the right thing to do where i hunt. I've shot a few deer on the ground doing sneaks, what a thrill that is! Now if i was out west elk hunting andmule deer huntingin the mountains it would be on the ground 24/7!

It is a little bit of a false choice as a good still hunt is often a succession of standings.
