Deer and grapes?

I am thinking about planting some grape vines in back of my place, do deer eat grapes?

Tazman - Yes they do eat grapes. Seen them graze on my Granny's vines numerous times, until she started hanging aluminum pie plates around them. I'm not sure if they left because of the reflection, noise or motion in the wind, but they didn't come back.

Ahhhh...Taz, You got my wheels turnin'!

As a Professional Chef I can see a great market for Venison &quot;marinated on the hoof&quot;!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Plant some nice Cabernet Franc grapes right next to some fresh Thyme plants and maybe some wild garlic! Yummmmmy! We can get other chef's to pay top dollar for this &quot;pre-marinated venison&quot; and then you can afford that Muzzy!<img src=icon_smile_clown.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_clown.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yes; they eat the leaves and the fruit in the vineyards behind my house. The grapes won't be their main diet but deer do like snacks now and then.

Down here in South Carolina, the deer love to eat Muscadines. These are like a wild grape, so I would assume that they would eat grapes as well.

One shot one kill.

Yes they love grapes. They come within 10 yards of my back door in the spring and summer to feast on grape vines.

Dido on jerimiahajacobs comits , my uncle has a problem with them in north florida eating his muscadines , if it was'nt 10 hours from me I'd cure that one real quick ! They also love blackberries so you might plant some of those also as they require little maintainance .

We all have different oppinions , if we did'nt the world would be a BORING place
