Default New 2008 Elite GTO

If I was in the market for a new hunting bow for '08, this guy would definitely get a look. Pretty nice speeds for a 7" brace and 80% letoff.

Basically, similar to the 101st, with Barnsdale limbs, and 3" shorter ATA. I'd really like to play with one of these.

The Elite GTO

SPECS

ATA - 33 1/8"
BH - 7"
Mass Weight 3lbs 15.5oz
IBO @ 70# 30" 80% letoff - 340-350
Draw Lengths 26-30
Draw Weights 50-90#

MSRP $799

I'm sure we will have one at the shop eventually. I'd be shocked if it made the speeds advertised, the Envy we had certainly didn't. It was a good 10fps slower than advertised at best. If/when I get my hands on one I will post up with my thoughts.

Don't keep toturing me with expensive bows. Find me a nice $500 bow that kicks them out, and is smooth & quiet!

I think we are going to be selling these at the shop this year. I've shot the Synergy XT, and the draw is a little harsh, but it's not bad. VERY quiet bow, and quick. We had nothing on the bow except a rest and the factory installed STS system (Elite's version, anyway) and it was dead quiet. You could feel the string vibrating after the shot, but I believe SS's would take care of that.

I'm also looking forward to getting in a GTO...that's the one I'm really considering for this year....Let me know if you shoot one.

Matt, the Synergy XT I shot was at and slightly above. On 71 #'s it shot a 389 grain arrow 320 fps....I would guess a 355 grain arrow would be in the upper 320's....

Good looking rig. Perhaps with the rounder cams the draw will be better. The Elites that I have shot were all pretty fast, but rough to draw. So much for them going under!

rybo.....interested in a good deal on an '05 Switchback with new WC strings and cables? Not really hawking the boards to sell it. If a pal was interested, though????

Is"Elite GTO"the mfg? Why would someone pick them over a more mainstream speed bow?
