what I am meaning is basically can you shoot enough does out of your areas to keep the populations where you want them?

We'll use gmmat for an example: he can shoot unlimited does and determine the numbers that need to be taken.

However in much of PA, if you have too many does, you will have a difficult time getting enough licenses to bring them down. We have DMAP that helps, but generally you don't get too many depending on the acreage you own.

Many states have landowner tags people can use. I was just curious how many states basically gave free reign to the landowners and how many restricted them?

In certain counties in Missouri (those surrounding the major cities) you can get an unlimited number of doe tags because of the over-population

Not only will they allow me the tags to do it.....but they'll "coach" me on what numbers to take. On top of that.....landowners with more than TEN acres can petition the state for assistance in habitat mgmt.

NC offers a lot. Not too many take them up on it.
