Default First "Wall Hanger"

Great story, but found a set of scrapes and rubs, late October, tweaked a stand and with the first good wind (evening of 28Oct07) this big boy gave me the experience of a lifetime.

Hit him slightly forward and the broadhead went through both shoulders and stuck out the other side by 10 inches. When I searched the area, the only thing I foudn was 10 inches of the front part of the arrow. No blood. I backed out, confirmed what I was thinking. Went back in that evening and when we found him he was full of blood. The arrow went through both lungs and the heart.

Something I'll NEVER forget. I've never added an attachment before so I hope this works.

This deer has been a long time coming. After I had made the shot, I called my wife to thank her. She asked are you laughing or crying....... I responded both,. But let me explain first before everyone starts screaming "whipped". She's was hometaking care oftwo in diapers, so I needed to show her my appreciation for taking care of the things at home while I was out enjoying a life time experience. I think we need to show our appreciation to our significant others when we get time too. It allows them to particiapte in the experience, even if they do not fully understand what it means to us.

It's been a difficult three years in KS, but it finally came full circle when I got this opportunity. But I wil s ay the folks in KS and the area is second too none. I've been in love with it the first time I stepped in the state. I hope to continue sharing these times with good friends and family.
