Default Would you?

Well I took out the ol' recurve for the hunt tonight. Wanting to harvest a doe I set up right next to a bedding area. I got my chance around 4:40. A ten yard quatering away shot. Well, left to right was perfect but the shoot was a bit high. With the combo of a high shot and her ducking just a bit I was unsure of the hit. I saw the arrow hit and watched her run off. The arrow passed right through and stuck cockeyed in the ground. Well I get down to check the arrow to find no blood anywhere. The arrow was clean but had a thick oil on it and smelled like a deer. I also found a good bit of hair. So I asumed that it was a back fat/hair cut. I walked the trail she walked off on and no blood. So.... Would you doing anything else or is my conclusion accurate ?

I would still trail itthe best i could to make sure you arrow isn't making a fool out of you. Sounds like you hit her right on top of the back as you stated, just fat and hair if you didn't get in too deep. Better double check to make sure though.
