I'll give rifle a couple days just so I can take my wife out, but my bow will be my primary weapon. I live in a bow only area in a private community. It's nice to know I won't have to deal w/ gun hunters when I'm hunting w/ a bow.
This will be the 1st time I attempt it since I still havea buck tag left. I don't expect much, things just get way too crazy where I hunt in gn season.

Just a regular guy who likes to hunt
I continue to bowhunt although I can't make up my mind for my mule deer hunt this weekend. I may try spot and stalk with a bow for 2 days and if I don't connect switch to gun for the second 2 days.
3 years of bow only for me, put down my guns in 2004. I shot a doe on the last day of season last year with my bow even after all the gun pressure. Using your bow just makes you think harder/smarter, which is all the fun of the hunt to me.
I take the gun season off. I pull my stands and get caught up on all the "honey do's" I have neglected for the last 6 weeks. I will be right back after them the day after gun season. Just too much insanity during the gun season for me. I don't have a problem with gun hunters. I wish them luck and hope no one gets hurt. (and as I have said before that includes the big buck I have been after all season).
