Default Wind- Stay or Go ?

O.K.
Justin made an observation of suddenly shifting winds. So what do YOU do when it shifts so often in a morning's or afternoon'stime?
Stay in your stand, or move to a different one ? and a different one? and a different one?

Well, the deer are not coming to you if they can smell you first. So you have to make adjustments if the wind shifts towards where you expect the deer to come from.

Changing winds give you a good time to come down from the stand and try stalking.

That's my question. If the wind shifts 180 degrees or close to it in a sporadic fashion an hour into a 3 hour hunt,
do you leave that stand?

i'll get down if I'm in one of my prime spots. I don't want to screw them up. I will get down, move to another part of the property and try still hunting.

During the prime rut i wouldnt change. The deer come from everywhere anyhow. I make sure the wind is perfect for early and late season though. If its early i will change stands, if its late, i stalk my way out of the woods.
