my season was a major success. even if i didnt kill my buck, it was still a success. i was on bucks from day 1. to me, that showed me my scouting and hunting tactics are on its way up. last season total i only saw 5 bucks and 1 legal shooter. this year i didnt hunt nearly as much and saw 2 legal shooters for sure and 6 bucks total. plus a pile of unidentified deer.
learning from last years mistakes and making the next season better is what its all about. thats what makes success to me. tagging my buck was just icing on the cake and kinda "proved" my success i guess. now, next year i want to scout more and get onto more areas and hopefully new properties...i want to learn more about deer and get on MORE deer. already started scouting and wont stop...a couple reasons..major reason is if i work out of state or out of the area, i wont beable to scout come summer..and inseason/winter/spring scouting will tell you more than summer scouting anyways. looking for success next season as well...even if i dont tag a buck, just being on deer consistantly is a success to me..
now to take a doe with the flinter this late season....

just gotta find areas where theres a healthy doe population...
