Default Happy ending

I posted last night about a buck I thought I had made a questionable hit on. I left and came back in the morning, with good results. It is no longer a questionable hit. I got 1 lung, liver and exited the guts. He was quertering to me a little. He was dead before I climbed down my tree last night, he went 75 yards. We found him right away this morning. He has 14 scoreable points and I have him rough scored at 142 2/8"
I am going to tape him better once I have the antlers off.

I'll post more pics later too. I want to get him cooled off right now.

Full story with more pics on page 2.

Congrats on a well deserved ending.

Where did you harvest that brute? Was that on public or private land. I have a lease in Kirksville that I didn't go up to this year with the new born. I usually take off the week prior to gun opening day and bow hunt alll week. I live just south of St. Louis and took an 11 pointer with the bow from Howell Island yesterday while most in MO were gun hunting. Story and pics to follow.

Congrats again. Good luck the rest of the year. Do you take up any 3-D's in the St. Louis area throughout the year.
