Isnt it amazing how these OLD mature deer just show up out of nowhere. We have been watching this 8 for about 3 or 4 years now. He is certainly the most mature deer I have ever hunted. He has to be at lease 7.5 years old if not older. I haven"™t seen this deer all summer. In fact, the last time I saw him was after the season was over last year on a trail cam photo. I got only TWO pictures of him that summer before that. He certainly isn"™t the biggest racked deer (anymore) but he is a deer that I would be truly happy to take. What an illusive beast!
Here are some of the pictures I have got of him in the past. Ty actually videoed him three years ago when I believe he was in his prime and 4.5 or 5.5.
Look at the body on this dude!
UPDATE:
Here is a screen shot from the video of him in September of 2005. I believe he is 5.5 in this video which would make him 8.5 now.

Looks like he is a 7 now...

The picture where he is standing looking at the camera, he looks MASSIVE, just look at his legs in that picture. One of the biggest bodied deer I have ever seen.
You should have seen him in his prime...not a HUGE racked deer. But a wide, heavy stud. Ill see if i can pull a picture from the video of him in his prime several years ago...

Mike, great big bodied beast there! Some just dont have the biggest racks and never will. Kinda like my buck I killed this year.. he was at least 5.5 or older ..gonna find out real soon I had his jaw sent off...
Anway he'd never be better than a mid 140's buck..but it takes NOTHING away from his impressiveness ...
I've always felt the age of a deer is well overlooked component of a trophy deer...
