Default Shooting Feathers

Shooting feathers for the first time and now have forecast for showers this weekend. Any recommendations on keeping them dry/shootable in wet weather. I've heard hairspray helps, don't have never tried it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Bohning makes some powder for waterproofing your feathers but it only works for awhile. I've heard of the hair spray trick but never tried it. Good luck.

You can shoot them soaking wet - it won't make a lick of difference.

I would think it would have to make some weight difference, no?

I keep trying all different kinds of vanes and always keep coming back to 4" helical feathers.

Bigbulls, that's what I shoot. Have you tried the hairspray or powder or do you just shoot them damp?

Any kind of water proofing spray for shoes or boots seems to work (like dupont).

I'm guessing you guys are shooting compounds? If mine are soaked they do not fly as well with my recurve, to much weight i'm guessing is why mine don't fly to well. There ia a powder thats supposed to work real good, can't remember what its called! Brain fart!Sorry!
