This morning renewed me. Challenge ahead!
I've been having trouble spotting a good buck that I want to take this season. Most of the corn is down now, bucks are chasing, starting to get a little careless I hope. Saw the big 10 pt. that was rumored to be around, maybe the one who lightly rubbed a phone pole a couple weeks ago. 145-150, but not heavy mass......just wide and a beautiful typical rack, and seems he is coming right into the area I've left alone more or less. I placed another stand after this morning's hunt, and am going in early morning(like dark) to place another stand and hunt from it. I'll be concentrating all of my efforts toward this buck as much as the wind allows. Also most of the does are staying in this area, so not spooking them will also be challenging. I love the challenge to trying to get into position of taking a good buck probably more than taking a shot itself. Game on..........I've been waiting for this all season.
