How many buck tags???

I just wondered but am willing to bet that the states with one buck limits produce better bucks.
I would think that if you only had one buck tag you would be far more selective and the population of good caliber bucks would increase unless gun hunting negated the benifits..

For sure it would be better. I wish Mich would do it. Better bucks and a better buck to doe numbers.

I'm all for one buck tag in WI. As it is, we have one for archery, one for gun,and no limit on doe tags (register one, they give like four more ).

Yep. Here in Indiana, we are seeing larger, more mature bucks than in years past. Of course the poachers are still out there, but the bucks are definitely better.

We have one buck for the year in Minnesota. The problem is that the gunners around here shoot anything thats got a rack and then later complain we have no big bucks around! If there happy with what they shoot then its not so bad but when there complaining we don't have any nice bucks around, its time to look in the mirror! Its hard to manage my 160 acres of woods when everyone else takes the 1st thing they see.

We have 2 buck tags in Michigan, I think if we went to one buck tag we would be better off, but then you still have people who whack and stack knobbies[:@].
