Lets hear your thoughts...marginal shot

Alright guys,

Well if you read my other thread you know that Shawn shot a big old 8 poniter this evening. We reviewed the footage and he hit him a little far forward. After looking at the footage it looks like he smacked the shoulder blade sqaure on. He ran off over the hill with his tail tucked flickering the whole way. After 3 hours we went back out and got his arrow. Looks like he got about 6-7" of penetration and he snapped the arrow off. We are going to wait untill the morning to look of course but i thought that i would ask for some of your thoughts and feedback...

What was the angle Michael? I am surethat is a fatal wound, my guess is at least one lung.

Its was basically broadside, maybe quarted away a TINY bit

i am saying dead deer. I have shot 2 or three like that with only about 6 inches of penetration and none of them went more than 75 yards.

Oh yeah, you should have major plumbing damage, dead deer if your head was sharp.

Broadside shot with 6" of penatration, he should be stiff as a board right now.
