Default MBD.. Medium Buck Down..

I

I zapped this little fellow at 7:30 this AM. Sure it's not the biggest buck I've whacked but I DO like to kill deer.

I was at my stand at 5AM and ran a couple of scent drags away from my stand and fired off a goofy thing called a Buck Bomb. It was still very dark and I could hear deer fighting and tearing up the scape I have been doctoring. They were walking under me like it was a deer convention but it was to dark to see anything but outlines.

This guy was kind enough to walk into my shooting lane at 20 yards and I gave it to him. I could not believe I did not get a pass thru as I saw fletching as he ran off. He went down less than 30 yards from where I hit him and I picked up the fletched half of the arrow when I walked over. I dressed him very carefully thinking the BH was still in him but it was not. Looking closer I saw an exit wound. It was a big bodied deer and I don't have any idea how He broke the arrow in half.

PS.. He had an over bite???Odd.

Congratulations Planter, beautiful buck, odd jaw, pretty buck. I wonder if the lack of nutrition perhaps from not being able to eat certain things other than browse etc played a part in his odd rack...?

Congrats.
