Default Anti's loose this battle

Not sure if this has been posted already, but if so I apologize.

In Pennsylvania, a judge dismissed a lawsuit that would have prohibited hunting on properties left to the government as charitable trusts.

Judge Lawrence Brenner determined that an archery hunt in Trexler Game Preserve in Lehigh County could go on after anti-hunters did not meet the legal criteria to stop it. The anti-hunters had argued that hunting runs contrary to the intent of the late Gen. Harry Trexler, who deeded the property to the county in 1933.

The activists said they may appeal the decision in order to try to stop hunting on the preserve in future years, according to Sentry, the official membership newsletter of the U.S. Sportsmen"™s Alliance and U.S. Sportsmen"™s Alliance Foundation

Gen. Trexler is probably rolling in his grave. I am sure if he wanted no hunting on the land, he would have made that a condition of the trust.

It was known by those of us directly affected by it. The ruling was handed out the week before the archery season began. TheNorth Range of the Trexler GamePreserve has been hit fairly hard with some really nice bucks being taken. Below is a link to a thread I posted in the Northeast Regional section abouta buck I witnessed being taken there....

...and here is a link to my journal with some postings of recent Trexler hunts...
