Default scents.. please read

So i was sitting in my stand tonight and all of a sudden i think of how far away can deer smell scents from on a lets say 10 mph wind... Any of you guys know?? I know it probly is different with different types of scents but lets say tinks 69... see what happends when you get bored up in the stand lol...

Appparently they didn't smell my scent I had in my Tinks scent cannisters this evening? [:@][&:]

I have read in different articles deer can smell certain things over a qtr mile away.

all the articles i have read cant tell you enough about a deer sense of smell. One i read said a deer can even tell how old a scent is.
Another thing you have to take into consideration is terrain.
And if there is a swirling wind. and what other scents might be in the area. If it was after a rain the wetness will over power alot of scents.
I never really liked tinks. I prefer either code blue or scent shield's Still Steamin.

3 of us....NEVER had a deer even respond to Tinks. Have any of you guys tried that Buck Bomb in Doe Estrus? Any success?

maybe i'll buy some code blue next time, all my bucks are coming from across the highway and then right theres a decent size field, they walk across that and by the time they get to my stand its pitch black already... Thanks guys

Don't use any scents just try to set up in travel corridors. I suppose scents would work in some situations but whenever I see a deer come in when scents are used they always seem to be on alert. Don't like that at all cause there scenses are heightened and catch the slightest of movements then. But hey if they work for ya use them this is just MHO.
