Default Anyone get their hide tanned??

Just curious. I send out all my hides whether they are small does, big does and bucks not worthy of a wall mount and get a really nice tanned hide back in a couple of months for under $35.

Got a great stack of them now but wonder if anyone else keeps hides as trophies. Might even have them turned into sumpin at some point. A bud had a nice jacket made as well as some nice gloves. They will also make something the little woman might like.

I've been wanting to do the same thing... even made a post about it last month. I want to know where I can get it done too for that amount!

WB Place in wisconsin I think. Google with good results. Gives you a trophy for every deer you zip.
I guessing most of you had had your own hide tanned. Some of you more than once.

PS.. Might cost YOU more Greg as they charge by the square footage.

Salt them down with a few pounds of table salt for a few days and send them off. It's way cool...

It costs me about $100 for a hair on deer hide. I've had one done but they've got to be close to the road for me to pack one out on top of packing out all the meat and head.
