I'm seeing chasing by the smaller bucks, rubs, and lots of fresh scrapes. Stokes County.

Not alot going on in Yadkin so far.I seen my first scrape in Yadkin yesterday while scouting next to a bean field. I've found a couple of scapes in Alleghany that are fresh. I watched four does tuesday in Alleghany with no bone in sight. Hopefully things will get kicked off soon.

I grunted in a spike last night. He came in like he was on a leash, so hopefully things will heat up this weekend.

I've gotta tell ya, I've seen more nice bucks this year than ever before. I sure hope they follow the "rules" of the rut this year!

The bucks are with the does in craven county, and actually responding somewhat to a grunt call. The bucks necks are swelled up and stinking tarsal glands on the last 2 bucks i got.

I saw 3 bucks this morning and a good 10-12 does. 2 bucks by themsleves and one little yearling spike aggravating the doe groups. Tarsals didn't appear to be dark enough, yet, and they weren't really "on" the does (IMO). I think it's still a little early.

All of this I saw, this morning (nov. 2).
