THE RUT IS STARTING TO KICK OFF IN ILLINOIS, I AM SEEING BUCKS CHASING DOES OUT IN THE GRASS FIELDS. AND THEY ARE RIGHT BEHIND EM. I HAVE SEEN THEM DRIVING AT 12;00 IN THE AFTERNOON JUST STANDING OUT IN THE FIELDS. I AM GOING TO STAY ON STAND ALL DAY THIS WEEKEND. AND I HOPE TO SCORE ON A BUCK..............
I'm up neer chicago and plan to be out all day Friday-Sunday. Hoping to get my first bow deer. I've seen a little chasing last weekend. Should be good!!!
On a side note Goosebuster, how about that goosehunt?
PM if you have time. Thanks
I am in East Central IL, just outside of Champaign, and seen my first "chasing" late last night and early this morning while at work and while driving home. Might forgo the sllep when I get off at 5am and head for the stand.
Bucks are in Rut as long as their antlers are hard. Activity is beginning to pick up. The peak is a few days away yet, probably mid NovemberI just hope we get some cool/cold weather.
Tell those does to hold off for one more week please as I will be there then!
