I have been hunting really hard up here in MI and have seen only a handfull of deer in the last month or so. It just seems to be slow. By this time last year i had seen three times as many deer up here. Anyone else notice this(doesn't have to be in MI)?

College is nice on the huntin' i schedule all my classes in the mornins so i can hunt the evenin's. I don't even have class on thursdays so guess which day i hunt on the most!! I was out tonight an saw 0 deer which is rare for me cause i am more often than not right on the deer. The only time i don't get to hunt alot is when baseball conditioning kicks in.

p and y, i do the same except I have class from 10-2 so I can hunt morn and eve! and no class on tuesdays! I have had an average year as for sightings, seen a few big bucks but none close yet. The property I hunt has the corn in until december usually.They are starting to turn on now though.

Went back to Kansas last Thursday through Sunday and saw 5-10 does and button bucks per day. No bucks other than a spike and a 3xnothing. I feel like if the does are there then the bucks are on there way soon. It usually does get slow about 2 weeks before our rut each year, then hold on cause they are going to start chasing and rutting shortly!! Can't wait!

Yeah, I've only been 3 times last weekend, but I'm going again this weekend. I only saw a doe but I also saw a beautiful 8 point. This weekend will hopefully be a lot better than last.
