Default To GregH: and all others..

I just read your post, you will get this deer. Also, I read your profile and all I can say is, WOW! 7 P&Y Bucks! with one being a 183!!!! Im new to the board just last week in fact. I have bowhunted many years now, I have been fortunate to take 17 whitetails with a bow, Biggest maybe 115-120 with a bow. I have taken numerous deer with shotgun, over 50,and one was in the 140's according to some guys on the board. My dream and goal is to accomplish a 1/4 of what you have, every year I consider hanging up the gun for good, and simply taking deer the most exciting way... with bow in hand...It is guys like yourself that's making the decision much more inticing. Bowhunting is my first love. To all the guys on this board... you all are class acts and even when yall don't always agree, you show respect, glad to be a part of all this!!!!

I want too, but here in the south we have a tradition, it is bitter sweet.. the use of hounds..When it starts.. it's pretty much done with the archery. I enjoy the guys and hearing dogs, and I know many of you don't agree with it, to tell you the truth, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it was gone, however, I grew up doing it and all the clubs here do it, so it is kinda of if you can't beat em, join em. I do have some property that I can hunt that won't get touched by dogs, so Im looking forward to hunting it with the bow during gun season if it is legal. Thanks man for the welcome!!!

Welcome to the board. I agree with you about the quality of people here in the bowhunting forum. It is so frustrating being from PA and knowing that many of the times I am denied access to bowhunter a property it is because the land owner has had bad experiences with gun hunters. If they only knew the type of folks we have here they would be much more receptive to bowhunters.
