Went out sat. evening, was in my treestand by 4. About 430 seen two does milling around about 100 yds out. They moved on after about 30-45 min. Then about 615 three does came in working their way through about 20 yds in front of me. Decided to take the lead doe. Shot her through the hips (don't jump me, I know it was a bad shot and I'm still replaying it all in my head as to what I did wrong, but anyway) dropped in her tracks, made a follow up shot through the ribs and she expired quickly. Didn't get a picture of her, due to the wife being out of town and with the camera. Did get a picture of her with the trail cam. She had the small slit in her ear.

First deer this year, four of my career since '99.

Nice doe, but what is up with the bug eyes? Just kidding. We have all had a bad shot. Just more incentive to keep practicing.

Congrats.
Nice doe.
We all make marginal shots at times.. you got her... that is all that matters.

Congrats on the Doe, they are a FAR more dificult "trophy" to score on the the majority of immature bucks most folks go on and on about. Also, THANKS for doing your part with QDM in your area. Great job!
