Default Buck Rub Galore -- Question?

Found a spot with loads of buck sign. Within 30 acres of land, I found over 60/70 buck rubs. I mean this in all seriousness. I found 3 ground scrapes as well, about 3 foot in diameter. The rubs are from trees an inch in diameter, to 6 inches in diameter.

My question is that are every single one of these rubs made by the same buck. This is a good area, but not a whole lot of deer. I am surprised to see this much aggression, but hope it is more than one buck. I don't know if one buck could make that many rubs.

What do you all think?

Since the rubs and scrapes are hot, should I be sitting there?

I was going to hunt different private land (this is state land), but I think I may head out if the wind is right. What do ya think?

buckhunter I would hunt the most active scrapes that are near food or staging areas by food at night.

Sparrow, great to hear from you again. I found a new spot this weekend that may be worthy of some hunting. I think I may try it this week.

Usually I wouldn't have a problem, but this one is weird.

This area is VERY mature hardwoods. Very little bedding area, and feeding on the acorns. The acorns are everywhere, and the bedding much just be in a undercut hardwoods spot. I figure there is no point in not trying... if I ruin it who cares.

The tough thing is there are no trails. They have no specific area for feeding, and the rubs are everywhere. I think I may grunt some, this will bring him into my vacinity. Thanks for the help!
