Default Scrape lines????

I found a scrape line just opened up in the last few days running along a ridge line. This area shows a lot of sign but I was wondering how to hunt it. I typically do not hunt scapes but there were at least 10 scrapes along this line and with all of the other sign I wantedsome suggestions on how to possibly hunt it. I am not sure what other details about this area are needed, just ask and I will try to explain.

thanks

Brian

Default RE: Scrape lines????

Once the rut is in full swing i wouldnt abandon the spot. To my understanding the buck will come and check his scrapes (not rubs) for scent of visiting does.. i may be wrong but this has always been my understanding...

Default RE: Scrape lines????

Thank you guys for that information. I know or have heard that bucks usually make scrapes during the night time hours that is why I have not placed a lot of faith in hunting them. The reason Why I wanted to hunt this scape line is one they are fresh scrapes, two there are a lot of dow tracks in each one and three there was a strong smell of urin in several of them as well. Thank you for the information on hunting the direction they are coming from, I was observant in noticing which direction the dirt was thrown from the scrape. I actually found a stand site in the middle of the scrape line. The reason for picking the middle is that the ridge line runs North and South and then there are a lot of cross trails running East and West. At every point where the trail cross there was a scrape.I am going to hun this area Saturday, we will see what happens. Thanks guys for all of your help.
