Wat a weekend

well this weekend was awesome i saw 7 does n 1 big buck but the buck offered no shots.

thsi morning i was sitting in the stand wen i saw a doe by the time she was within 50yds. there were 4 others with her. then 2 bucks began chasing them accros the bottom i was in/ they ran them around the bottom about 5 times. the the bigger of the 2 began makin al kinds af scrapes and rubs. about 5 min/. later i saw 1 more doe and then a spike. but for some reason the big bucks left the does and went baack into a swamp.
does anybod have any idea why the bucks would just leave with all of them does there.

and can u tell if a doe is in estrous if her tail is just held high about half way?

Sound like the does weren't in estrous and if you saw the bucks just making the scrapes they are proly just in the beginning of the rut cycles.
