Default My Every shot Version II

Well I got into my tree at 330pm and I just had a good feeling about the whole evening hunt. At 415pm (the woods are wet and quiet) I here a deer running directly at me along the side of the hill, I look and see this big rack coming and I stand up grab my bow and he saw movement he stops at 10 yards behind some brush! Im now shaking this being the biggest Pa. buck I have ever would get a shot at. He stares at me with the wind blowing from him to me and he turns around and slowly starts walking away! (still shaking like a leaf in the wind)
He turns to head down hill 26 yards out and I draw as he goes behind a tree. When he steps out I give him a grunt at full draw, now this all happened in like 20 seconds so I never had a chance to move my single pin so its still on 20 yards. When he stops he looks directly at me I bury my pin 3/4 chest high being he was what at the time I knew more than 20 but less than 30 no time to range him. I figured this would be a good double lung shot, well I squeeze the trigger and he hits the ground and trots away!!He totally ducked my arrow. THis is the 1st time I ever missed a deer and sat there and had tears in my eyes! HE was big one and there he goes my perfect oppurtunity.
I then later had a little 7 pointer come in later and I thought man this is great he is getting it! He came into 10 yards but I hung my bow up and was not gonna shoot him out of frustration! It was not fair to him the animal cause I passed on him before! SO anyways I drank a few cold ones last night and still can not get it out of my mind! Here in Pawhen you get a chance at a deer like that you better take advantage of it.
The only thing I think I could have done differently is maybe wait till he ran past me and then try to stop him, maybe then he would of smelled my doe pee? I dont know cant get it out of my head. Also if I would of let him go by me 15mph wind would have bee directly at him I know I try to be totally scent free scent lok and all but you know as well as I do they can smell ya in those high winds. Im real confident in my scent game but with himon the other side of me I had no worries cause it was blowing to me!

Everyone is capable of missing man. Don't kick your seat to hard. My only question is why on earth would you have a sight on you would have to move?

I have an HHA single pin sight on my bow and I like it I dont like multiple pins. I just mean it was set on 20 yards I did not have a chance to slide it up between 20 and 30 so I just aimed a tad high. Just trying to compansate for the few extra yards I did not aim that high still mid chest. I know everyone misses, It just sucks thats all. It all happened so quick and perfectly except for the deer hitting the deck and ducking my arrow!

I meant this was the 1st deer that I missed that upset me so badly. I have a ton of misses under my belt I was a rookie at one time and of course still miss sometimes!
