Default Wind Question

sorry for such a stupid question and i think i know the answer.

everyday i look at MSN.com weather for the wind directionin my area where i hunt in hammonton nj.
it was forecasting a N wind..does that mean that the wind is actually blowing from the North
and actually a south stand would not be good?? or does it mean that the wind is blowing
from the S in a N direction...i think it is blowing from the North??

thanks
