I did three years ago when it was on a Sunday. Nothing different than the usual. It's just another day.

Oh and now that I have kids I never go hunting on Halloween. So that will probably be the last for the next 10 years.

To say that Halloween is my favorite day in the woods would be a HUGE understatement.

I did three years ago too, like Wheatley. Liver shot him, took me two days to find him.. I saw him the Night before, but he wasn't even close to a shot opportunity.

I think it has more to do with the timing than anything to do with Halloween. I've always seen and killed good bucks on and around Halloween.

I actually got my first buck on Halloween about 5 years ago. Shot it around 5pm and got it out of the woods around 10 pm. Now that was freaky, gutting a deer by flash light 10 pm Halloween night. It was so quiet in the woods you could hear a cricket fart in the corn field. Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Another thing too, I ahve only gotten 2 deer during archery, one on the 13th and the other on the 31st. (insert ghostly sounds here)

My B Day is the 30th and I get the rut as a present nearly every year. I like Halloween hunting too. I have yet to nail one down on either day. I am hoping to chance that this year.

My buddy shot a nice buck on Halloween and hopefully I can at least score a nice buck this year. Halloween is always a good time to be out hunting.
