On my way home from work I always go the back way...past all the timber. I have noticed deer feeding around 2:00pm inside the timber. The last couple days I have noticed that the fawns are farther away from their mothers or they are just alone.
Tonight went out around 4:15pm And saw deer (2)coming out into the bean field around 4:40. Later 4 fawns are out feeding by themselves and working their way up the beanfield, opposite side of the field as I was (90-100yrds). They were feeding on bean stubbles for about 20 minutes all the sudden a buck (6 or small 8) jumps out of the timber and starts chasing them around. After grunting I got his attention and he started on his way, so did the cows in the pasture behind me[:@] He stopped around 60 yrds out and was not coming any farther. He could hear the buck grunt but all he could see was cows movingaround behind me.After he turned, I bleated this time and the cows took off and so did they

After that I watched some more does coming in the field a few hundred yrds down the field but was getting dark. I may have over bleated on the 4 fawns but they payed me hardly any attention.
Anyway, first buck sighting for me this year! I think the does are starting topush their fawns farther away and the bucks are getting ready rock!
Sorry so long......but it was fun hunt!
