when season started i said if the wind was over 10 i would not go out
because this being my first year in a tree and bow hunting
what max wind will it take to keep you out of your stand say 12ft or so thats what mine is
and what max wind does it take to keep you from hunting because of a worry of it moving your arrow
and how much should i give for wind speed say how much for every five miles wind going south and you shooting west

At modern bow speeds and close range (under 20 yards) wind is not a factor. If your tree moves a lot and makes you uncomforatable, that is more to consider than the wind taking your arrow. You also have to figure most times the wind isn't blowing 100% continuous. There is no set wind speed that keeps me from hunting. If its gusting to 35, but 90% of the time is only 10-15, I'll deal with the gusts. Just go out and hunt, be cautious, but don't worry yourself into an ulcer.

This is my first year of really using a climber, and so far, I've been about 20 ft up in about 25-30 MPH winds. The tree I was in was only about 25 in. around, and there was no way I could even keep the pin on a deer, much less make a good shot.
I have the same problem with my climber. The problem comes from the fact that you have to use a smaller tree in order to get the cable around the trunk. I have noticed that it doesn't take much of a wind to rattle the whole tree. In those cases, I either don't go up with my climber and go to my ladder stand in the almighty oak or sit on the ground in a natural ground blind. All in all, I think that I have taken just as many from the ground as I have from the tree. I'd rather not risk falling out of the tree or at least off the stand.
Havent really had much wind over 15 mph in my neck of the woods. I dont get greedy, if i can find time, rain or shine, wind or snow, anything, im out there. Bc im not gonna shoot one from my couch no matter the weather. But i would imagine if i were in a slim tree with 25 mph winds, i probably would just still hunt or sit at the base of the tree.
For at least the next 4 weeks, if I have the chance to be on stand (climber) I'll be there regardless of what the weather and wind is. I always wear a safety harness, in all conditions. Some of the biggest bucks I have seen and taken have been on the worst days you can imagine, this time of year there on the move period. Can't kill'em from the couch!
for the month of nov i will be in the woods no matter what is for me the only proplem i have is gas money i work for my self and i can get my boss to give me time off al the time lol
i plan to had out nov 4th and not stop untill i fill my tags

I have hunted in 20-30 mph winds on many occasions and have seen many deer and even taken a few. It takes some really nasty weather to keep me out of the woods this time of the year.
